Highly susceptible to the adverse effects of aging or dramatic weight loss, you may consider your thighs a “problem area.” A thigh lift can restore and enhance your body, creating the shape and contour you desire.
How it works
A thigh lift removes excess skin and fat from the inner or outer thighs. Performed under general anesthesia, the procedure generally takes around two hours to complete. Varying from patient to patient, an incision is made extending from the groin and around the hip, possibly including a buttocks fold incision. The excess skin and fat are then removed, and the skin is tightened and contoured.
Often used in conjunction with liposuction, this operation takes away the types of fat that are seemingly immune to exercise and weight loss. This procedure can be performed alongside a buttock enhancement or lower body lift.
What to expect
A thigh lift is done on an outpatient basis. Temporary soreness, swelling, and bruising is normal. Patients can return to work after a week, but lifting and exercise should be avoided for a couple weeks. While recovery time varies with each patient, a full recovery can be expected after three months.
