Breast Asymmetry

Most women have some degree of breast asymmetry (different sized breasts), but some cases are more pronounced than others. If having asymmetric breasts makes you self conscious, there is an excellent solution. Breast asymmetry surgery has helped thousands of women regain the balanced and natural looking breasts that they desire.

How it works

Depending on the patient, a breast asymmetry surgery involves either a breast reduction or a breast augmentation, and in some situations both. Breast sizes are increased through augmentation or more subtly by fat grafting. With this procedure, the surgeon places an implant in one or both breasts using a small incision in the crease under the breast.

For a breast reduction procedure, tissue is removed and liposuction is used to create the symmetrical look you desire.

What to expect

Most patients will need to wear a support bra to accommodate the slightly tender and sensitive breast area after the operation. Relaxing at home for a few days, avoiding heavy lifting, strenuous work and exercise are all recommendations for a smooth recovery. Recovery typically takes two to three weeks.
